  1. Coooooool

Though, if he is going to be punching the directly at us as the viewers, then I think his feet need to adjust for a proper stance.

Usually for a power punch ((looks like that's what he's trying to do)) the fist that is pull back is on the same side as the foot that is placed back. So with his left arm pulled back, his left leg should also be back with his right leg in front. This gives the monster the ability to transfer all his weight from the back leg into the front where his power punch is supposed to land. It having so much weight, I would only guess that is how it would throw a punch.

Though, if he is going to punch out to his right side, then keep it as it is. I like how the torque in his body is shown as if he is going to punch out the side of the paper.

  2. Blake I love the legs here.
That creature's left foot is frigging amazing!! Aww I die and drool a little.

The upper half isn't doing it for me. I'd say chop off the top have and keep the legs.

  3. what is it about the upper body that isn't working?

I had a more finished version but some randoms on the streetcar liked it so I gave it to them ... so now the above photo is the only version I have, as such feedback about what you dislike about the upper body would be nice.

  4. i guess the upper body is fine, but when you look at it with the head, i think it looks weird. maybe the head should be angled differently? facing the left and up? i just imagine it looking better like that, with its scm muscle all flexed along with its platysma muscles since it has its mouth is in a grimace. just try and emphasize the mood more with contracted muscles and agressive twists. it would look more dynamic than his face facing the audience straight on.

  5. Hurmmm...
I just keep looking at the top of the creature and then the bottem. Since you don't have the middle done it really looks like two spereate drawings. And the legs are singing wonderfully. The face... I donno... I just don't like it. It doesn't work for me. Perhaps because it's a mug shot and you set up a wonderful 3/4 view.

Okay i do actually like the forward most hand, but the belly and chest and furthest away arm still seem off to me.

Maybe it's because the creatures right side is more towards me but his torso doesn't look twisted int hat direction. Or perhaps it's because that left arm is just a scribble right now. I don't really see an arm there. I would expect to see it maybe further away and scrunched up? Or something...

Like I donno, if you don't see where I'm going from then you can take this a pitch it out the window, but I love teh bottom half still and dislike the top a lot.

It's a shame that you gave it away, I think this would have been amazing to of finished.
