So, here's a sketch Deanna did for me. I was really nervous talking to her cause she's such a great artist and I really wanted her to have a good impression of me. But she's really nice - she did this during her character design class. She was basically helping me understand my character...
Also, I was gonna upload life drawing but scanning is so slow, I just don't want to do it. So, just have some boycat character sketches.
With photoshop crashing twice, this took about an hour to scan. haha ha hhahahhahahaughhhhh
ALSO WERNER SAID SOMETHING COOL TODAY (HE ALWAYS DOES) HE SAID THAT WHEN YOU ARE CAFE DRAWING, IT'S BETTER TO THINK OF THE DRAWING WE DO AS THE REALITY AND THE REAL PERSON AS A REFERENCE, SO DRAW AN APPROPRIATE GESTURE AND THEN DRAW THE PERSON BY REFERENCING FROM THEM, BUT THEIR POSE CHANGING SHOULDN'T MATTER GET IT?

ReplyDeletei like ur girl character, it really has that punky feel u always seem to be going for in ur other sketches. her legs do make it more feminin though, if you go thinner on the ankles/feet, the more girly ur character will look. itll make a difference between ur boy cat character adn ur girl character. its not a big one, but its enough.
although, deanna made her look like a 70's gym girl, kinda like those ones from that "call on me" music video. hahah. i donno if u know what im talking about, but its the firs tthing i thought offfffffffff.
